All Saints Day 2023

Today is the Christian feast of All Saints Day. On this day, the Church honors every saint, those officially known and honored with feast days as well as those saints known only to God. It comes on the 1st day after Pink October, and to me, it’s a good day to remember those women and men who have died from Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC). Many of them were advocates working tirelessly for better treatments for MBC; many participated in clinical trials in hopes of moving us closer to a cure. All of them were much loved by their families and friends and their passing has left a big void in our lives.

Please take a moment and list in the comments, the names of women and men you knew who died from MBC. Let’s keep their memory alive as we work and pray for a cure. And if you can, please make a donation in their memory to the Breast Cancer Research Fund (BCRF) to support MBC research.

Here are the names of women and men that I personally knew who passed away from MBC:

Toni Feller, Champagne Joy, Doris Ann Price, Rhonda Reichert, Beth Caldwell, Chiara D’Agostino, Michael Kovarik, Erin Remme, Halli Lannan, Linda Mantke-Solezan, Tori Geib, who died on All Saints Day in 2021, my Aunt Rasa, and Kelli Davis.

They were my friends and fellow MBC advocates and I miss them every day
