Thanksgiving 2023

This is the 10th Thanksgiving since my diagnosis and I am incredibly grateful to still be alive. A few months ago I had to change treatments because the cancer was spreading quickly in my liver. This is the 7th treatment line I have been on since my diagnosis in June 2014. I hope that I never run out of treatment options.

I am thankful for the research scientists who developed the treatments that have kept me alive and for my wonderful oncologist who has always found new ways to check the cancer each time it returns.
I am thankful for charities like the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, The Pink Agenda, and Dancers Care Foundation that raise funds for cancer research.
I am thankful for the generosity of people whose donations fund cancer research.
I am thankful for the many caring nurses and techs who have taken care of me.
I am thankful for my Pomeranians Momma Mia, Kennie, and Dolly who have comforted me, made me laugh, and helped me to see the beauty of life and living fully in the moment.
I am thankful to still be alive to celebrate with my family and friends.
I am especially thankful to receive so many prayers, messages and letters of encouragement, and donations for my medical expenses. They keep me going during dark times.

Happy Thanksgiving!
